Who We Are
Metropolitan School Frankfurt (MSF) is a modern, not-for-profit international preschool, primary and secondary school. We are fully authorized to teach the Primary Years Programme (PYP) by the International Baccalaureate from Kindergarten through Grade 5 (age 3-11). The curriculum in grades 6-8 (age 12-16) is based on the internationally recognized Cambridge Secondary 1 Programme and in grades 9 and 10, students are prepared for the IGCSE examinations.  They provide a sound basis for further academic work in grades 11 and 12.

MSF was founded in 2007 and offers a comprehensive education for around 500 students from more than 50 countries. MSF is an IB World School, a member of the Association of German International Schools (AGIS) and the Council of International Schools (COIS). It is recognized as a "staatlich anerkannte Ersatzschule" by the state of Hesse.

Our language of instruction is English, but daily German lessons are taught formally from the Transition class (5 year olds) onwards. Our classes are taught by university qualified native English speaking teachers following a child centred, transdisciplinary, inquiry based pedagogy.

Early morning care starts at 8:00. Our school day commences at 8:30 and concludes at 15:30. Primary and Secondary students can join extracurricular clubs offering a wide range of activities in arts and sports. Extra Care programmes are offered before and after the regular school hours (8:30-15:30) from 8:00 until 17:30.

Metropolitan School Frankfurt has state of the art facilities offering more space per student than any other school in the Frankfurt am Main school district. Conveniently located in the city of Frankfurt just 15 minutes driving distance from the city centre you can reach us also easily from the northern Frankfurt suburbs by car or by public transport.

The school benefits from its special authorization status and funding granted by the German School authorities ("anerkannte Ersatzschule") and the City of Frankfurt preschool authorities ("genehmigter und geförderter Kindergarten"). This ensures significant public funding that allows Metropolitan School Frankfurt to offer competitive fees for its programmes.
